All moon phases bring a certain kind of magic to our human existence and this one is no exception. This full super lunar light in the sign of Aquarius is about to remind us of our journey into the Aquarian age and it is time to release all the blockages that are holding us back and to celebrate how we are moving forward in community.
I have been lucky enough to witness the almost full supermoon above the sacred Tor in isle of Avalon. It was absolutely magical last night as you will see in the photo above.
This supermoon takes place on Monday 19th August at 7.25pm (BST). Luner will be placed at 27° of the sign of the water bearer that is Aquarius. In this sign, lunar guides us towards evolution. She is the higher perspective that offers us all a chance to change and revolutionise not just our own lives but also the lives of others. She is the eagle who sees the expanse of the land below. She is the activist, the unique, the inspiration and the star being.
Her ruling sign is the stella star queen Uranus. Who will be sitting in square to this lunar phase in the sign of Taurus. Squares present more challenging enery and this may manifest as some unexpected change on our earthly realm. But, with her trine to Pluto in the beginning degrees of Aquarius, it is likely that these changes will serve for the greater good.
Lunar’s light will trine both Mars and Jupiter in Gemini suggesting that we will have the information we need to release old concepts and consider new thinking that is outside of the box. It is then up to you to take the action needed to create change.
In opposition to Lunar, Sol is sitting next to Mercury retrograde in Leo. As Leo represents a sign of your sovereign self, perhaps you are being asked to reflect on your contribution to the collective and how you shine your authentic light?

-How can I be more collectively aware?
-What could I initiate to support and bring community together?
As an air element, Aquarius links us to the breath and to the lower legs in the physical body. This is to ensure we remain grounded whilst we embrace her higher frequencies. Be sure to offer yourself time to practice breathing techniques and these may be effective in a seated forward fold position.
Crystals to support this energy include
Flourite, smokey quartz, clear quartz and amethyst. Use them during meditation to release what no longer serves and calm the mind bringing clarity.
To understand how this energy may influence you personally take a look at your own natal chart and pay attention to which house Lunar falls in. Then be aware if there are any planetary goddesses near by that may also play their part in this story for you.
