Supporting Mental Health



A subject so very close to my heart. Mental health is so prominent now for everyone. We have all been through so much in the last few years, but consider the impact this all has on our younger generation too.


When a cloud descends, we are not always aware of what is happening....It is almost as if you are in your own world and you can't see beyond the thickening fog. There may be others who want to help you, but you are just unable to recognise them and feel threatened by everything.


So, support the person to clear the fog. Help them to see the path ahead by listening and giving empathy.


Ask others how they are feeling and what they might need without adding more pressure.


It is ok not to be ok. Sometimes, we just need to know that someone is holding our hand whilst we stand in the dark.


So illuminate yourself today, ask yourself how you feel and what it is that you need to make you feel good? Share these ideas with those around you who may be struggling.



~ Do something for yourself


~ Meet up with a friend


~ Listen to a song


~ Move your body


~ Sing and dance


~ Get creative


~ Eat something delicious


~ Get out in nature


~ read something that makes your heart sing.


Do whatever it takes.
